MUSIC PROGRAM

Music at the Giles School starts from JK until Grade 8, where students will have the opportunity to be involved in performances held throughout the year. Performances will be held in the form of a Winter and Spring concerts, plus they will have the chance to show off their many talents in assemblies and the end-of-year talent show! 

From JK to Grade 5, student learning will be focused on skill-building through the vocal music curriculum, as well as with a range of instruments, including Ukulele, Keyboard, and Percussion. Students in Grades 6 to 8 will learn about performance through our instrumental music program that sees students engaging in practical-based lessons on instruments such as Drums, Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Keyboard, and Voice. They will also develop their composition skills by creating and recording their own original music.
