FOOD BANK FUNDRAISING EVENT AT THE GILES SCHOOL

At The Giles School, education extends beyond academics. Our students learn to embody empathy, collaboration, and leadership by actively participating in initiatives that support the community. This year, our Grades 4 and 5 senior students led a Food Drive to benefit the North York Harvest Food Bank, culminating in a remarkable donation of 1,150 pounds of food and essential items!

Running until December 6, the event engaged all grade levels and highlighted the importance of kindness, compassion, and social responsibility. Students and families worked together, selecting and donating items while discussing the value of giving and understanding the challenges of food distribution.

This initiative provided valuable lessons on how small actions can significantly impact fostering a sense of community and caring for others. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this meaningful event—your generosity is truly inspiring!
