Each year, we host a range of exciting events, including celebrations, competitions, field trips, and outings that highlight the talents and achievements of our students and staff. These activities foster community spirit, belonging, and connection. School Year 2025-2026

Gr. 1–3 Visit the Living Arts Centre

Grades 1–3 students visited the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga on Jan 16 for a hands-on clay workshop focused on creativity and fine motor skills.

Gr. 6 Trip to Toronto City Hall

Our Grade 6 students explored civic leadership firsthand during a visit to Toronto City Hall alongside Webtree Academy.

Magic Show PreK to Gr. 6

On Thursday, December 18, The Giles School welcomed a professional magician for a joyful, interactive magic show designed especially for our students from PreK to Grade 6.

Giles Christmas Concert 2025

Giles School’s Christmas Concert on December 16, 2025 showcased PreK–Grade 8 student performances through music, movement, and collaborative learning.

Giles Holidays Market 2025

December 5, a joyful morning at our Holidays Market, filled with student creativity, family connection, and community spirit.

Field Trip to Willowgrove Farm

Gr. 1–3 students explore animal care, farm life, and outdoor learning during their Nov 14, 2025, field trip to Willowgrove Farm and Outdoor Education Centre.

November Break Camp 2025

From November 3–7, 2025, The Giles School buzzed with energy during the November Break Camp: creative activities, outdoor fun, and a week full of happy memories.

Halloween Celebrations 2025

On October 31, 2025, students from all grades arrived in their most creative, colourful, and imaginative costumes, filling our classrooms and hallways with festive excitement.

Gr 6 at the Aga Khan Museum

On October 28, 2025, Grade 6 students visited the Aga Khan Museum for an inspiring day of exploration and creativity. 

Gr 4–6 Soap Making Workshop

On Oct 27, Grades 4–6 designed glycerin soaps at Giles—hands-on chemistry, safety, color/scents, and teamwork in a fun, creative workshop.

JK–Grade 3 Fall Field Trips

On Oct 17, 2025, JK–Grade 3 enjoyed fall field trips to The Markham Museum and Pingle’s Farm Market, exploring history, nature, and hands-on learning outdoors.

Truth & Reconciliation Day 2025 

On Sept 30, The Giles School marked the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in orange with learning led by Dr. Reiss Kruger for all grades.

The Terry Fox Run

On September 26, 2025, The Giles School community ran together to celebrate Terry Fox’s legacy, promoting perseverance, wellness, and community spirit.

Discover the Leader Within

On September 22nd, Grade 4–6 students explored leadership in our first workshop, discovering their inner Captain and Poet to lead with creativity and confidence.

Gr. 4–6 at Camp Muskoka

Starting September 15, 2025, Gr. 4–6 students enjoyed a 3-day adventure at Camp Muskoka with outdoor fun, leadership, teamwork, and memories to last a lifetime.

Graduation Ceremony 2025

The Giles School proudly celebrated the Graduation Ceremony 2025, marking a milestone in the students’ academic and personal journeys.

Sports Day 2025

The Giles School celebrates its 2024–2025 End-of-Year Sports Day on June 16th with fun, teamwork, and spirited outdoor activities for all students.

Bata Shoe Museum Field Trip

The Giles School Grades 1 & 2 explored the Bata Shoe Museum on June 13, 2025, discovering footwear history and global traditions in a fun interactive trip.

Innovation Day 2025

The Giles School Innovation Day on June 12,  2025, showcased Grades 4-5 STEAM projects, blending design, forces, power generation, and digital literacy.

The Annual Art Expo 2025

The Giles School Annual Art Expo took place on June 11, 2025. JK to Gr 5 students showcase a year of creative work in an elegant and inspiring setting, under the guidance of their art teacher Dala.

Gr. 3 to 5 at Black Creek Village

On Tuesday June 10, 2025, Grades 3 to 5 explored Black Creek Pioneer Village, learning about 19th-century life and discovering history, trades, and pioneer living in an engaging and rich educational outdoor experience.

Giles International Day 2025

On May 28, 2025, The Giles School proudly celebrated International Day, highlighting the creativity and global learning of Grades 1 to 5.

Grades 4–5 at the Botanical Garden

On Monday, May 26, 2025, The Giles School Grade 4 and 5 students enjoyed a refreshing and educational day at the Toronto Botanical Garden.

Bee Workshop for PreK to SK

Our PreK to SK students were buzzing with excitement during a special in-school Bee Workshop! Through activities and a visit from a real beekeeper, students learned how bees see, pollinate, and work together inside the hive.

Spring Music Concert 2025

On May 7, The Giles School hosted its Spring Music Concert, showcasing students’ musical talents through joyful performances.

Junior Science Fair -April 2025

The Junior Science Fair at The Giles School, which took place on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, was a celebration of curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning.

The Giles School Gala 2025

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, The Giles School hosted its annual Gala at Bayview Golf & Country Club—an elegant and joyous evening celebrating the heart of our community.

Battle of the Books 2025

On April 11th, Grades 4 and 5 competed in The Giles School’s Battle of the Books, showcasing teamwork, reading comprehension, and a love for literature in a thrilling showdown!

Trip to the Museum of Illusions

On March 31st, Grades 4 and 5 from The Giles School explored the Museum of Illusions Toronto—where curiosity met creativity in a fun, mind-bending adventure in perception and science.

Les Contes du Voyageur

Grades 1-5 enjoyed Les Contes du Voyageur, a captivating storytelling and music performance by Eudes Laroche-Francoeur from Théâtre Français de Toronto on March 3.

Senior Science Fair - February 2025

The Senior Science Fair at The Giles School on February 27th, featured Grade 4 and 5 students presenting their innovative projects.

Magie Calypso – A Joyful Musical Experience!

On February 12, 2025, JK to Grade 5 students enjoyed Magie Calypso – School Concert, a vibrant French performance celebrating Calypso, Cumbia, and Caribbean musical traditions.

Chinese New Year 2025 Giles Celebration

The Giles School celebrated Lunar New Year 2025 with vibrant red outfits, traditional Chinese attire, lucky envelopes, and warm wishes for the Year of the Snake!

Scientist In School 2025, Grade 4 and 5

Grade 4 and 5 students explored engineering and simple machines, building pulleys, gears, and strong structures while showcasing creativity, curiosity, and teamwork!

THE GILES SCHOOL WINTER CONCERT 2024

THE GILES FOOD BANK FUNDRAISING EVENT 2024
