On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, our JK to Grade 5 students embarked on a vibrant musical journey at the Magie Calypso – School Concert! This energetic French concert brought the infectious rhythms of Calypso, Cumbia, and more, immersing students in the rich musical traditions of the Caribbean and Latin America.

Led by conductor and host Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the performance featured songs from artists like Baron, Calypso Rose, Red Plastic Bag, and Mighty Sparrow. Students clapped, danced, and sang along to the lively beats, experiencing firsthand how music connects people across cultures.

This unforgettable outing deepened students’ appreciation for music, language, and global traditions, all while creating lasting memories. We’re grateful for this opportunity to celebrate the joy of music—what an incredible experience for our young learners!
