welcome back to school
  • Announcement

Welcome to our first month of school!

The month of September has been a truly special one: the first time that students and teachers were back on campus for the first time since February. Everyone was absolutely delighted to see each other and to reconnect after so many months apart. To all new members of our school community, we extend a warm welcome and we look forward to working with all of you over the coming months and years.

The first 4 weeks of school has been really busy!

After settling into their classes, the students have been up to some great projects and activities. We celebrated the International Day of Literacy, the International Day of Peace, and on September 20th, election day, we celebrated the International Day of Democracy. We have focused on the role and history of democracy in society, as well as its importance to current and future generations. Orange Shirt Day was commemorated on September 30th. Ms Emily led a moving assembly with the help of the Grades 7 and 8 students who shared with us what it means to have reconciliation and why it is so important for us all.

Students are now fully versed in their routines in and around the classroom. As a result of these established routines, the staff are carefully increasing their expectations of the students as their learning stamina increases. Last but not least, we would like to wish all of our students, a wonderful and productive school year!
