Children carry what they are taught at a young age throughout the rest of their lives. In addition to parents and carers, teachers  act as a support system that is lacking elsewhere in students’ lives. They are role models and can act as an inspiration to go further and to dream bigger. The teacher-student connection is invaluable for some students, who may otherwise not have that stability. Teachers not only listen, but also coach and mentor their students. Teaching is a tough job, but it is one where you can make the most impact in another person’s life.
