Fundraising at The Giles School reflects our commitment to community, compassion, and student/staff involvement. Through a variety of creative and purposeful initiatives held throughout the year, our students, staff, and families come together to support meaningful causes. Student BBQ Fundraiser, School Year 2024-2025

Goal: $5,000     Raised: $5,350

 

 

On May 14, 2025, The Giles School hosted its 5th Annual Student BBQ Fundraiser in support of ACSAUVEL, the Association for Down Syndrome.

Thanks to overwhelming participation through pre-orders and generous donations, we proudly surpassed our $5,000 goal—raising an inspiring $5,350!

This lunchtime event brought together our community in a spirit of generosity and celebration, all to support a meaningful cause.

STEAM Lab Fundraiser, School Year 2024-2025

Goal: $10,000     Raised: $12,200

 

Thanks to your generous support, The Giles School proudly unveiled its brand-new STEAM Lab this year—an innovative space buzzing with curiosity, creativity, and learning.

With a goal of $10,000, we successfully raised $12,200, enabling us to fully equip the lab for dynamic student experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. From coding and robotics to hands-on design, this lab is now a cornerstone of future-ready learning.

Musical Fundraiser, School Year 2024-2025

Goal: $5,000     Raised: $5,000

 

Our Musical Fundraiser—Harmony for a Cause—reached its $5,000 goal, thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our community.

This initiative highlighted the immense benefits of music in childhood education, fostering creativity, focus, discipline, and cultural appreciation. By supporting this cause, you’ve helped empower students to explore instruments, express themselves, and grow in confidence and joy.

The Giles School Gala, School Year 2024-2025

Raised: $10,270

 

Held on April 12, 2025, The Giles School Gala was a joyful evening of celebration at Bayview Golf & Country Club.

Although not a fundraising event, $10,270 was generously contributed to cover Gala expenses, reflecting strong community support. From a dazzling magic show to lively dancing and heartfelt connections, the night truly captured the spirit of Giles.

Art Fundraiser, School Year 2024-2025

Goal: $3,000     Raised: $3,833

 

Launched on February 13, 2025, the Art Fundraiser for Ms. Dala raised an impressive $3,833—well above our $3,000 goal! These funds are being used to purchase new equipment and materials for our vibrant art program.

A special shoutout to Grade 2 students Loic and Everett, whose creative fundraising efforts selling cotton candy and slime added colorful energy to the cause.

Holidays Market, School Year 2024-2025

Raised: $539

 

On November 22, 2024, The Giles School hosted a festive Holidays Market that brought together students, families, and staff in a joyful celebration of the season.

With holiday-themed booths, treats, and decorations, our school transformed into a cheerful marketplace. The event raised $539 and, more importantly, created warm memories for all who attended.

A heartfelt thank you to Mme Arianna for orchestrating the magic, and to everyone who made the event such a success!

Food Drive Fundraiser, School Year 2024-2025

1,150 pounds of food and essential items.

 

Led by our Grades 4 and 5 students, this year’s Food Bank Drive was a powerful lesson in empathy and action.

Supporting the North York Harvest Food Bank, the school community came together to collect an incredible 1,150 pounds of food and essential supplies. The drive involved all grade levels and sparked conversations about hunger, giving, and social responsibility.
