Volunteering your time is an excellent contribution to your child's school experience.
The Giles School offers several ways for parents to volunteer their time and be involved with the school.
PTA
The PTA is always looking for new members. The PTA meets on the first Monday of every month and all are welcome.
Other Volunteer Oportunities
Book Fair Coordinator
Coordinate with Scholastic Books, teachers, parents and administration to organize the November book fairs.
Book Fair Volunteers
Assemble/disassemble book racks, stock books, collect orders, tally daily cash totals and sundry other duties during the week of November 20th (before and after school).
Library Assistants
Help librarian in various duties, such as signing out and re-shelving books.
After School/Recess Assistants
Help staff supervise children during recesses and after school.
Information Technology Committee Members
Advise on and help teachers and administration implement strategies to maximize use of IT resources within the classroom.
