After school programmes run from 3:45 pm to 4:35 pm. Cost of after school programmes are deducted from the student's prepaid activities fee.
Chess
Instructors: Goltz family of “Chess Kingdom”
Cost: $100.00
Duration: January 11 to March 8 (JK-SK), January 10 to March 7 (Gr. 1-3)
Minimum: 6 students
Maximum: 15 students
Children will learn the game of chess at their own level. The game of chess exercises the brain and helps to improve concentration, logical thinking and visual memory. The children will continue to develop their skill.

Japanese Fun Club
Instructor: Michiko Kida & volunteers
Cost: $75.00/yr for materials only
Duration: All year
Minimum: 5 students
Maximum: 15 students
The course is designed to introduce the language and culture to children through songs, dance and craft including origami (art of paper folding). Children will also learn reading and writing and conversational Japanese through activities.

Hip Hop Dance
Instructors: U GOT DANCE
Cost: $100.00 (JK-SK), $110.00 (Gr. 1-3)
Duration: January 14 to March 11 (JK-SK), January 13 to March 10 (Gr. 1-3)
Minimum: 10 students
Maximum: 15 students
Children will have loads of fun dancing to the beat of high energy music, learning age-appropriate moves taken from Michael Jackson, MC Hammer, and other iconic Pop and Hip Hop artists. They'll be proud to show-off their new found dance steps. Classes feature a combination of fun ways to exercise, stimulating dance games and rhythmic movement to music. Dance is an excellent way to keep young children active, building fitness while developing their listening skills, body control and self-expression. U GOT DANCE, Ontario's mobile dance studio, is a highly reputable organization, teaching dance to 1000's of children in private schools, public schools and childcare centres across the GTA.

Mad Science

Maximum: 18-20 students
Students will not believe their eyes as they examine different optical illusions and watch as light and colour interact, tricking their sense of sight. Children will participate in classes where their taste buds are put to the test – they will learn how their sense of taste works. Studying the scientific principles of heat, students make their own cotton candy. Students will learn all about magnets and how they are used in our everyday lives. The basics of sound will be revealed with a cool Mad Science twist – children’s voices will be wildly distorted through a Mad Science sound machine. We will wow them with polymers in one of the most popular Mad Science Programs – SLIME!!! Educational, entertaining and sticky…what more could a kid wish for?

Dinosaur Club

Using actual fossil materials, hands-on demonstrations and take-home projects, the budding paleontologists will uncover a world forgotten by time...the realm of the dinosaurs. Imagine the children's excitement as they build bubbling volcanoes, make a real eoraptor skeleton mold and experience a realistic paleontology dig! Dinosaur Club projects and demonstrations cause children to have so much fun, they often forget they are learning. Expect lots of completed take-home projects from your proud certified Paleontologist!

Space Adventure

Take a Space Adventure through our galaxy! On the way, we will discover a planet or two each week. Through interactive discussions, hands-on activities and experiments we will uncover Mars' surface, learn why Uranus is a mystery planet and much more. Each week the student will create a colourful model of the planet(s) discussed, and then combine them to create a display to take home at the end of the program.
