Students eat lunch in their classrooms under the supervision of their teachers. Teachers have access to a fridge and microwave. Children must be sent to school with two snacks: one for morning snack time, one for afternoon snack time.
To guard against allergic reaction, The Giles School is a nut and peanut free environment. Children whose lunches or snacks contain nuts will not be permitted to eat them at school. Please refrain from sending nut products to school with your child.
Instead of packing a lunch for your child, you may take advantage of our new lunch service provided by Rose Reisman Catering’s Children’s Lunch Program. Rose Reisman is a nutritionist, TV personality, cookbook author and Adjunct Professor of Health at York University. She has been labeled the “Nutrition Guru of Canada” for over 25 years and is now bringing her expertise to our school!
Affordable lunches are available to order online and your child will be served a hot or cold lunch of your choosing. Their wide variety of kid-friendly, healthy menu choices (no prepackaged or processed foods!) are provided from a nut-free facility. Other allergies can be accommodated too!
To sign up and order lunches online, visit the Children’s Lunch Program website: rosereisman.orderlunchesexpress.com.
